OXFORD JUNCTION--Joseph Balichek, 87, died at his home, Oxford Junction, Monday morning after an illness of a week following an attack of heart disease. He was born in Bohemia, March 19, 1856, and came to America and to Oxford Junction when but a boy.

He was married to Anna Yarolem, May 30,1880, who preceded him in death. They farmed for a number of years.

He is survived by two sons, George and Joseph Balichek, Oxford Junction; three daughters, Mrs. Anna Hada, Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Tony Bruckner and Mrs. Ed Kostichek, both Oxford Junction.

Funeral service was held Wednesday afternoon. Anton Vanicek was in charge. Burial was made in Mayflower cemetery.
