Funeral service for Mrs. Margaret Boyer Kaufmann, 83, pioneer Jones county resident, was held Thursday, April 1, at 2 p.m.

Mrs. Kaufman died Monday at Mercy hospital.

Rev. J. K. Delahooke conducted final rites. Smykil's funeral home was in charge of the service.

Burial was made in Riverside cemetery.

Mrs. Kaufmann was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Falor, pioneers of Fairview township.

She was married June 16,1880 to B. F. Boyer, who died March 28, 1923. She married J. L. Kaufmann in April, 1925. Mr. Kaufmann preceded his wife in death on June 30, 1936.

Surviving are two sons, Clarence Boyer, Anamosa, railway mail clerk; Earl Boyer, Maquoketa, postmaster; and two granddaughters.

Mrs. Kaufmann took an active interest in the Methodist church. She was a member of the Women's society of Christian service, Rebekah lodge, and the Woman's relief corps.
