Fred Pfosch, who lived in the west end of Anamosa for 59 years, died Tuesday. He was born in York county, Pa., June 30, 1874, and came here 59 years ago, making his home in the house in which he died.

He never married. Surviving him are his sister, Mrs. Barbara Sternat, and J. F. Althen, step-brother, Anamosa.

Body is to be shipped to his birthplace in York county, Pa., for burial in the family plot.
