MORLEY--J. O. Farnham, 77, died early Thursday morning, Feb. 4 at the McDonald hospital, Monticello, of injuries received the previous day when he fell through a skylight in a garage in Monticello.

Funeral service was held in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Clarence Kline, south of Morley, on Saturday, Feb. 6, with the Rev. H. E. Dalrymple, Anamosa, officiating. Burial was in the Green cemetery beside his wife.

Mr. Farnham, second child of Hiram Pertsnaur, and Mary Ristine Farnham, was born Nov. 11, 1865, in Walnut Grove community, south of Morley. As a child he moved with his parents to a farm north of Morley.

On Dec. 18, 1889, he married Elva Emmarella Miller. They made their home on a farm near Morley with the exception of six years, when they lived in Monticello to educate their children.

Returning to farm, they lived there until his wife's death in September, 1935. Since that time he has lived between the homes of his three daughters.

He leaves three daughters, Mrs. Clarence Kline, Mechanicsville, Mrs. Will Holmes, Anamosa, and Mrs. Clarence Matthiesson, Monticello, 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild; three sisters survive, Mrs. Dell Miller, Mrs. Sylvester Miller, and Mrs. Esther Boots. One sister, Mamie and one brother, David, preceded him in death.
