OXFORD JCT.--Funeral service for George Collins, 75, was held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Hayden chapel here. Mr. Collins died early Monday morning at his home here after a long illness. Rev. W. A. Wolgemuth, pastor of the Lutheran church, had charge of the service.

A quartet of women, consisting of Mrs. J. Havlik, Mr. Arthur Lathrop, Mrs. Palmer Vaughn and Mrs. E. Leffingwell sang, with Mrs. Ernest Schwab as accompanist. Casket bearers were Henry Mowry, Joe Milota, Frank Benhard, R. McClurd, George Leslie and Joe Kulhavy. Interment was made in Mayflower cemetery.

Mr. Collins had lived his entire life in this community. He was born south of Oxford December 19,1864. He farmed for many years, after which he retired to Oxford Mills. He was united in marriage to Mary Sourada about 50 years ago. She survives along with one daughter, Mrs. Freeman Ethridge, Oxford Junction; one brother, Charles, Oxford Junction, and a sister who lives in South Dakota.
