Funeral service was held Tuesday for Michael Chauncey Green, 58, who died at Bright's disease Sunday morning at a hospital in Peoria, Ill. Rites, which were conducted at St. Patrick's church in Anamosa, were in charge of Rev. P. J. Behan. Burial was in Holy Cross cemetery.

Beam and Miller Funeral home was in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were William and James Green and Dewey Weaver, nephews of Mr. Green, and Tom Hanlon, John Hayes and Jack Johnson.

Mr. Green, who was known as "Chauncey," was born Feb. 22, 1882, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Green on a farm on the Buffalo, about seven miles northwest of Anamosa. He farmed this place for many years, and was well-known in this vicinity.

Six years ago he moved to Peoria, where he made his home until the time of his death. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Port Weaver, Anamosa, and Miss Rose Green, Pasadena, Calif.; and one brother, Lewis Green, Cedar Rapids,
