ONSLOW--Mrs. Frank Johnson died recently at Onslow after a long illness.

Rev. Frank Schroeder conducted the funeral service in the Presbyterian church. Mrs. Wilson Briggs sang two hymns accompanied by Mrs. C. R. Smith. Casketbearers were James Kennedy, Howard Willison, Lee Hanson, Carroll Lightfoot, George Lyon and Isaac Edwards. Burial was in the Wyoming cemetery.

Mary Idella Hanna, daughter of George and Jane Eckler Hanna, was born Dec. 28, 1865. She was the eldest of a family of nine children, all born and reared in this community. On Aug. 22, 1887, she was married to Frank Johnston, a native of Jackson county. To this union four children were born, Mrs. Jessie Hall and Mrs. Grace Williams, Onslow; Mrs. Ethel Heasty, Albuquerque, N.M.; and William Alfred, Amarilla, Texas, all of whom survive. Surviving also are her husband and 95-year-old mother. Three sisters are Mrs. Rose Reade, Mrs. Amelia Michaels and Mrs. Florence Wherry, and three brothers are Albert, Norville and John. Eight grandchildren are Dillon, Harold and Gordon Hall, Mrs. Franklyn Bergman, Wilbur Heasty, Betty Mae and Gary Johnston and Henry Hanson and five great grandchildren, Gale, Wayne, Judy, Ruth and Connie Marie Hall.
