OXFORD JUNCTION--Funeral service was held Sunday afternoon at two o'clock for John Eleck, 87, from the Hayden funeral home. He died Friday afternoon at the Jones county home near Amber. He had been in poor health for some time. Service was conducted by Rev. F. C. Maurer of the English Lutheran church.

Hymns were sung by Mrs. Palmer Vaughn, Mrs. Louis Ledvina and Mrs. A. E. Hodoval, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Ernest Schwab. Pallbearers were: Vince Lasack, Otto Benhart, Charles Slouha, Fred Wasoba, John Burda and Frank Besek. Interment was in the Mayflower cemetery.

John Eleck was born July 20, 1856, and lived most of his life here and near Oxford Junction, where he engaged in farming. In 1878 he was married at Oxford Junction to Frances Kroulik, who with three children preceded him in death.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Frank Ledvina, Oxford Junction, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Merle Dighton, Mrs. Bert Dighton and Mrs. Harry Cook, Hopkinton, relatives from out of town, were present at the service.
