OXFORD JUNCTION--Final rite was held Friday for Mrs. Barbara Zaruba, 80, from the Hayden Funeral home at 2 o'clock. Service was conducted by Antone Vanicek, speaker for the Z.C.B.J. Lodge Boudoucnost, and women's auxiliary of Wapsie post of the American Legion in which organizations she held membership.

Singers were Mrs. A. E. Hodeval, Mrs. J. Marley Hall and Mrs. Louis Ingwersen, accompanied by Mrs. Ernest Schwab. Flowers were in charge of five granddaughters, Lucille Milota, Donna Zaruba, Oxford Junction; Betty Goldsmith and Betty Zaruba, Savanna, Ill., and Dorothy Kroll, Evanston, Ill.

Casket bearers were: Frank Tye, James Peckosh, George Slouha, Frank Nowachek, Joe Kropek and Delbert Burda. Burial was in Mayflower cemetery.

As Barbara Leypet, Mrs. Zaruba was bon in Bohemia, coming to America when she was 18 years of age. She lived in Chicago where she was married to Mike Zaruba, and shortly after their marriage they came to Oxford Junction where they engaged in farming. Mr. Zaruba, one daughter and a son preceded her in death.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Anna Milota, Oxford, Junction, Mrs. Mary Kroll, Savanna, Ill., and Mrs. Christine Kroll, Evanston, Ill.; five sons, Joe, Mike and James, Oxford Junction; John, Monmouth, and Frank, Savanna, Ill., 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
