WYOMING--Funeral services for Chris J. Ingwersen, 76, who died Sunday morning as result of a paralytic stroke suffered last Wednesday was held Tuesday at 2 p.m., Nov. 16, from the Methodist church in Wyoming. The Rev. E. G. Steinman was in charge. Burial was in Wyoming cemetery.

Deceased was born at Hattstedt, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, on Feb. 15, 1867. He came to this community in 1882 and worked on nearby farms for six years. In 1890 he began working in the Jansen General store and in 1891 entered partnership with the Inglis in a store and later in partnership with J. W. Waite, also in a general store. In 1901 he became assistant cashier of the Peter Jansen bank. In 1913 he helped to organize the Citizen's state bank and served as cashier until 1933. In 1936 he severed his connection with the bank and opened a real estate and fire insurance agency in Wyoming.

Mr. Ingewersen was active in community affairs, serving as a member of the town council and also on the board of education. He served as town treasurer and was also secretary of the Wyoming Telephone exchange for many years.

In 1897 he was married to Erna Levsen of Lin. Surviving are his wife, three sons, August, Wyoming; Melvin, Onslow; Carl, of the U.S. Navy, now in the South Pacific, and one daughter, Mrs. Helena McAndrews, Madison, Wis.; four granddaughters; one brother, Herman, Center Junction.
