Final rites for Mrs. Meta Otten, 86, were held Tuesday afternoon at St. Paul's American Lutheran church. Rev. H. E. Buesing conducted the service.

Mrs. Otten died Saturday at the farm home of her son, Carl, near Forest. She was born May 20, 1857 in the province of Hanover, Germany.

In 1900 she came to America with her husband. Mr. Otten died in 1915.

Surviving are four sons: Fred, Carl and Menno of Anamosa, and Henry of Bennett; one sister, Mrs. Mary Dircks, Langworthy.

Smykil funeral home was in charge of services.
