OLIN--Earl Jones, 61, farmer living three miles northeast of Olin died suddenly Monday. Before finishing his dinner he said his side and his face felt odd and requested to be helped to his bed. He soon lost consciousness and died enroute to Mercy hospital, Anamosa.

Funeral service was held in the Olin Methodist church Wednesday at 2 p.m. Burial was at Olin.

Mr. Jones was born at Doniphan, Neb., and came to Iowa in 1893. He is survived by his wife, the former Ida Dodge; three daughters, Mrs. Velma Switzer and Mrs. Irma Wollison, both of Olin, and Mrs. Ada Nanke, Stanwood; two sons, Gilbert, Olin, and Vernon at home; four brothers, Wilmer, Cedar Rapids, Whitley, Alburnett, Clifford, Morley, and James, Iowa City; two sisters, Mrs. Daisy Elliott, Center Point, and Mrs. Nora Hemphill, Walker, and seven grandchildren.
