Mrs. Clara Taylor died Friday at 4:30 p.m. at Mercy hospital, Anamosa, following a long illness.

Funeral service was held in the Beam and Miller chapel Saturday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. W. J. Grossheim of the Presbyterian church, Monticello, in charge. Burial was in the Oakwood cemetery, Monticello.

Mrs. Taylor was born on Nov. 9, 1857 to Mr. and Mrs. John McLaughlin, Troy Mills, and later was married to James F. Taylor at Maquoketa in 1885. Ten children were born to them, three of which, Floy, Bessie and Francis, preceded Mrs. Taylor in death. Mr. Taylor died in 1911 and since that time Mrs. Taylor has lived with her children.

Children surviving are: Roy Taylor, Monticello; Purl Taylor, Mount Pleasant; Alva, Laurie, Mrs. Ray Seely and Mrs. John Holmes, all Anamosa, and Mrs. Henry Heiken.

Three brothers who also survive are: Alva McGlocklin, Hastings, Mich.; Frank McGlocklin, Flint, Mich.; and Earl McGlockin, Canton, Iowa.
