OLIN--Mrs. Johanna Caroline Feddersen, 86, Stanwood, died Thursday, Dec. 26, at 10 p.m. from pneumonia at St. Luke's hospital in Cedar Rapids.

Funeral service was held Sunday, Dec. 23, at 1:30 p.m. in St. John's Lutheran church, Olin. Rev. Roger Hoppenworth conducted the rites. Mrs. Kenneth Guhl was soloist with Mrs. Kenneth Zimmerman at the organ.

Interment was in the Wyoming cemetery.

Casketbearers included Eddie Soper, Dillon Story, Ralph Coppess, Harold Von Behren, Clifford Batchelder and Raymond Batchelder.

Flowers were in charge of Mrs. Fred Reck, Mrs. Paul Ketchum, Mrs. Grover Benischek and Mrs. Glenn Bendon.

Mrs. Feddersen was born Johanna Caroline Jensen on Mar. 26, 1876, in Flausburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church.

In 1897 she was married to Boyd Feddersen. Couple had six sons and three daughters.

It was in May, 1911, that the Boyd Feddersen family came to America and established their new home near Wyoming, making their livelihood in farming.

On Oct. 8, 1944, Lena Feddersen became a widow upon the death of her husband, Boyd. She also was preceded in death by a son, Jens, a few years ago.

Mrs. Feddersen is survived by five sons: John, Carl, Ben, Ferdinand and Arnold; three daughters, Martha, Mrs. Louie Luedeman; Helma, Mrs. Fred Luedeman; Edna, Mrs. Eugene Hart; and with whom she made her home before her death.

Among her survivors are also 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
