Funeral service was held Sunday afternoon at the Martelle Methodist church for Mrs. W. L. Miller, who died Thursday at her home in Anamosa. Rev. J. K. Delahooke, Anamosa, was in charge of the rites, with Rev. Trevor Baskerville, Martelle, assisting. Burial was made at Forest chapel cemetery.

Mrs. Miller was born Daisy May McCleary, daughter of William W. and Elizabeth Lindley McCleary, in Fairview township. She grew to womanhood in this community and was a school teacher there for a number of years.

On Jan. 16, 1908, she was married to W. L. Miller. The couple moved to Morley, where they lived for several years. They moved later to Martelle where Mrs. Miller became associated with the Farmers Savings bank.

Six years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Miller moved to a farm near Newport. They lived there until recently, moving to Anamosa when it was found necessary for Mrs. Miller to live where she could obtain medical attention conveniently.

Mrs. Miller was a member of the Methodist church and of the Pythian Sisters' lodge.

Survivors are her husband, her aged mother, Mrs. William McCleary, Morley; a daughter, Mrs. Ray Morning, Olin; one brother, Charles McCleary, Morley; three sisters, Mrs. Ada Courtney, Anamosa; Mrs. Zona Wickey, Galva, Ill., and Mrs. Mamie Brazelton, Los Angeles, Calif.; and two grandchildren, Virginia and Kenneth Morning, Olin.
