OLIN--Emery Miles, former resident of the Olin vicinity, died Thursday, Jan. 31, at his home in Pomona, Calif.

Memorial services were held Saturday, Feb. 2 in the Todd Memorial chapel. Rev. David L. Robinson officiated at the service. Interment was in Pomona.

He had farmed in the Stanwood and Olin vicinities for many years before moving to Chicago, Ill., in 1937. He moved to Pomona, Calif. in 1949.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Miles; six children, Forest Miles, Chicago, Ill.; Eva Amend, Olin; Harlen Miles, Stanwood; Nelson Miles, Pomona, Calif.; Doretha Brinkman, Tipton; Leonard Miles, Mortons Grove, Ill.; 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

One son, Capt. Loren L. Miles, was killed in action in World war II.
