OXFORD JUNCTION--Funeral service for Mrs. Michael Souhrada, who died Thursday, June 24, was held last Monday morning at Sacred Heart church at 9 o'clock. Rev. Gregor was in charge of the service.
Burial was in the Mayflower cemetery. Members of the Lilac Camp of the Royal Neighbors conducted the service at the grave. Casketbearers were Joseph Kotlinek, Frank Kaloue, John Shedek, John MacGregor, Frank Hadoval, and Louise Bisinger.
Mrs. Souhrada was born Marie Zak, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Zoseph Zak, in Talin, Bohemia, Sept. 4, 1879. When a young woman she came to America and married Michael Souhrada, Oxford Junction.
Mrs. Souhrada had been in ill health for some time and was taken to the Mercy hospital in Cedar Rapids Monday, June 21.
She is survived by her husband, two sons, Capt. Arthur Souhrada, Camp Grant, Ill., and Major Albert Souhrada, Camp Shelby, Miss., one grandson and a sister, Mrs. Rose Cincura, Chicago.
