OLIN--Mrs. Grace Estella Cole, 72, Olin, died Thursday, Oct. 19, at the Maple Lawn Convalescent home, Marion, following a lingering illness.

Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 23, at 2 p.m. at the Campbell Funeral home, Olin. Rev. Lloyd Dutro, pastor of the Olin E.U.B. church was in charge of the service. Interment was in the Olin cemetery.

Pallbearers included nephews of Mrs. Cole, Ervin Hotz. Marvin Hotz, Harlan Hotz, Earnest Hotz, Eldon Hotz and Melvin Hotz.

Mrs. Leon Stivers was soloist. Elna Rohwedder was pianist. Flower committee from the Olin E.U.B. church was in charge of the floral tributes.

She was born July 9, 1889, daughter of David and Christina Lyons Switzer, in the Antioch community. She grew to womanhood in the Antioch community, attending the Antioch school, where she was a schoolmate of Grant Wood.

Dec. 16, 1908, she was married to Raymond R. Cole, at Anamosa. Four children, two sons and two daughters were born to this union.

She had lived her entire life in Iowa, living a number of years in Cedar Rapids and the remainder of the time in Jones county. She had made her home in Olin the last several years. She was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren church, Olin.

Survivors include two sons, Lee F. Cole and Clarence E. Cole, both of Cedar Rapids; one daughter, Madonna, Mrs. Frank Norton, Vallejo, Calif., six grandchildren and a number of other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1942; a daughter, Ezra, who died in infancy; six brothers and three sisters.
