William Franklin Strawman, 80, died Wednesday at 5:30 a.m. from heart disease at his home in Anamosa after a brief illness.

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2:30 .m. at the Congregational church in Anamosa. Rev. H. E. Dalrymple will read the service. Beam & Miller Funeral home will be in charge.

Mr. Strawman was born June 29, 1862, in Jones county, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ephriam Strawman. He was married to Mary Jane Steckel on March 14, 1890. Couple farmed around Anamosa until 28 years ago when they moved to town where they since have made their home.

Mr. Strawman was a member of Knights Pythias lodge at Anamosa.

Survivors are Mrs. Strawman; one son, A. W. Strawman, Anamosa; two grandchildren, Mrs. Walter J. Gross, Iowa City, and Gene Strawman, Anamosa; and two brothers, Charles Strawman, Forest community, and Sam Strawman, Topeka, Kansas.
