CASS TWP.--Funeral service was held Tuesday at the St. Peter and St. Paul Lutheran church, Castle Grove, for Mrs. Edward J. Stadtmueller, who died Sunday morning of heart disease.

Mrs. Stadtmueller died suddenly at about 7 a.m. She was assisting her husband with the chores when she was stricken. Carried into the house, she died before a physician arrived.

Rites were conducted by Rev. Arnold Thalacker. Miss Margaret Balster played the organ during the service. Interment was made in the cemetery adjoining the church.

Mrs. Stadtmueller was born Louise Gesena Balster, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Balster, Scotch Grove, Jan. 29, 1902, was baptized March 23, 1902 and confirmed April 30, 1916 at St. John's Lutheran church.

She was married Jan. 29, 1929 to Edward J. Stadtmueller and moved to a place in Castle Grove township the next year, and later to the farm in Cass township where the family is now living.

Survivors, besides the husband are one son, James, 10, a daughter, Gloria, 8; her mother, Mrs. John C. Balster; one sister, Mary, Scotch Grove; two brothers, Arend, Scotch Grove, and Robert, Monticello, and a number of aunts and uncles.
