OXFORD JUNCTION--Funeral service for John Zak, 71, former resident of Oxford Junction, was held here Sunday afternoon from the Hayden chapel at 1:30 p.m. Antone Vanicek had charge of the services and music was furnished by Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kolarik accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Frank Kulhavy.

Those serving as pallbearers were John Kropik, Joe Kropik, James Kotlinek, John Shedek, Louis Bisinger and Joe Kotlinek. Burial was in the Mayflower cemetery.

Mr. Zak's body was found late Thursday afternoon near his cabin home south of Cascade, after he had been missing since Monday. Coroner F. L. Harrington pronounced the death as the result of a heart attack and exposure.

John Zak was born in Bohemia March 25, 1871 and came to America when he was 18 years of age. He made Oxford Junction his home until 10 years ago when he moved to Cascade where he was employed as a farm worker. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Marie Souhrada and Mrs. Rose Cincura, Chicago, Ill.
