OXFORD JUNCTION--Mrs. Martin Fritz, 77, Oxford Junction, died Sunday, Feb. 18, at the Jackson County Public hospital, Maquoketa.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 22, at 1:30 p.m. at the Oxford Junction Methodist church. Burial was in the Mayflower cemetery, Oxford Junction. Dye Funeral home, Tipton, was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers included Emile Pavlista, Stanley Coon, Vern Shedek, Irvin Hansen, Richard Benhart and Alfred Pegorick.

Mrs. Fred Lasack was organist. Mrs. Hans Ahrendsen and Mrs. Otto Koranda were vocalists.

She was born Anna Marie Pegorick on Nov. 9, 1884, daughter of Vince and Fannie Kalous Pegorick, Oxford township. She was married Feb. 27, 1906, to Martin Fritz at Maquoketa. Couple lived on a farm most of their lives and both had been lifetime residents of Oxford Junction.

She was a member of the Methodist church, Oxford Junction; Royal Neighbors of America lodge, and was a Gold Star mother.

Survivors include her husband, Martin; three daughters, Mildred Willert, Oxford Junction; Frances Kuehl, Cedar Rapids and Velma Fritz, Chicago, Ill.

Others survivors include two sisters, Emma Triltsch, Wyoming; and Josie Soukup, Cedar Rapids; three brothers, Elmer Pegorick, George Pegorick and Louie Pegorick; ten grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and four sons, Raymond, Edward, Lumir and Robert; two brothers, Albert Pegorick and Vince Pegorick, jr.; two sisters, Tillie Koranda and Mary Kostecka.
