Funeral services for James Buckner, 79, former Anamosan, who died Friday in Cedar Rapids, were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Loder Funeral home.

Rev. H. E. Dalrymple, pastor of the Congregational church, officiated and burial was in Hazel Knoll cemetery.

Mr. Buckner was born May 25, 1862, at Anamosa and spent his early life here, but for the last 25 years had lived in or near Cedar Rapids.

He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Ida Barnes, Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Sadie Reed, Moline, Ill. A brother, William F. Buckner, preceded him in death in 1938.
