Arthur Maynard Belknap, 67, Anamosa, died unexpectedly on Monday, Jan. 22, after suffering a heart attack.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 26, at 1:30 p.m., at the Goettsch Funeral home, Anamosa. Rev. Charles B. Willming will officiate with masonic services. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery, Anamosa, with military services at the graveside.

Pallbearers include Alvin Byrerly, Percy Ruhl, Bruce Ruhl, Ralph Miller, Frank Michel, Lou Yanda.

He was born Sept. 28, 1894, son of Oscar Belknap and Jane Ryan Belknap, Olin. He had lived his entire life in Anamosa and vicinity and had been engaged in farming.

Maynard lived with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Cable Belknap until their death. Then Maynard made his home with his aunt, Miss Jennie Belknap and three uncles, Charles, Joe and Will Belknap.

He served in World war I and World war II. He was a member of Amber Presbyterian church, Anamosa lodge No. 46 A.F.A.M., Veterans of Foreign wars and American Legion.

Survivors include a brother, W. D. Belknap, Lancaster, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Labreta Baldwin, Brandenton Beach, Fla.; and Mrs. Ivah Drew, Cedar Rapids, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
