OLIN--Parley Edgar Winchip, 80, Olin, died Tuesday, May 29, at Olin.

Prayer service was held at the home of his daughter in Olin at 1:45 p.m., Friday, June 1, followed by services in the Olin EUB church at 2 p.m. Rev. Lloyd Dutro officiated at the services. Interment was in the Olin cemetery.

Pallbearers included Carl Ferderson, Leon Stivers, Harlan Henderson, Hans Rohwedder, Bliss Switzer and Edward Fall.

Linda Sharon was organist. Nellie Stivers was soloist. Flower committee of the church was in charge of floral tributes.

He was born April 18, 1882, son of Arthur and Julia Gordon Winchip, Linn county. He moved to Jones county while a boy, and had lived in the Olin vicinity, with the exception of about a year and a half, since that time.

He had farmed in the Olin vicinity for a number of years. He had made his home in Olin for the last 24 years.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Russell, at home; a daughter, Goldie Benischek, Olin; three grandchildren, Roger Benischek, Des Moines; Marcia and Greg Benischek, both of Olin.

Others include one brother, Alvin, Center Junction; one sister, Mrs. Ella Walton, Jenkins, Minn.; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
