14 February 1963 - The Anamosa Eureka

Robert Lee Brady, 66, Anamosa, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, at Mercy hospital, Anamosa, following a lingering illness.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 16, at 2 p.m. at the Goettsch Funeral home, Anamosa. Rev. J. Ellis Webb will conduct the service. Burial will be in the Olin cemetery.

Pallbearers include Darrell Meredith, Bernard McGovern, Don Stickle, Gene R. Anderson, John Ricklefs and Earl Betzer.

He was born April 19, 1896, son of William L. Brady and Nellie Emerson Brady, Prairieburg. He farmed N.W. of Anamosa until 1959 when he retired because of ill health. He operated a threshing run on Ridge road for several years. He was a member of American Legion.

Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Ruth Wood, Olin; Mrs. Bessie Jerome, Martelle; Mrs. Pearl Weaver, Tipton; and Mrs. Bernice Likens, Cedar Rapids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Frances; and two sisters, Grace and Esther.
