CENTER JUNCTION--Funeral service for Mrs. Friedericke Rohwedder, were held in the home of Mr. and Mrs. N. C. Holst, at 2:30 P.m. Sunday, April 21, with the Rev. Lloyd Dutro, Waterloo, officiating. Burial was made in the Wyoming cemetery. Six grandsons served as pall bearers and the music was furnished by Mrs. Elna Rohwedder and Mrs. Alma Stuart.

She died Thursday evening, April 18, 1940 at the age of 90 years, three months and 27 days.

Friedericke Christine Elsabia Guebel, was born December 22, 1849 in Tellingstedt, Schleswig Holstein, Germany. Soon after birth she was baptized and in 1865 she was confirmed in the Lutheran faith.

In the spring of 1868 she came to America with her brother and located in Clinton county, where she resided until her marriage to John Rohwedder on August, 22, 1871. The following day the bridal pair started via covered wagon to Missouri. Two years later they moved to Wyoming. Ten children were born to this union, three of whom died in infancy and Harry, in 1923. Mr. Rohwedder died in 1915.

Tuesday morning she was stricken by cerebral apoplexy; shortly afterwards she lapsed into a coma from which she never rallied.

She is survived by four sons, Ernest, Albert and Otto, Wyoming; and Hans, Olin; two daughters, Mrs. Toni Holst, Center Junction; and Mrs. Minna Levsen, Olin; 21 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Friends and relatives from a distance who attended the funeral services were Mrs. O. B. Walters, Council Bluffs; Mr. and Mrs. John Rohwedder, Davenport; Mr. and Mrs. Roland Ingwersen, Mrs. F. Feddersen, Mrs. John Feddersen, Mrs. Gus Gradert, Miss Blanche Gradert and Albert Buecher, all from Clinton; Miss Emma Jansen, Mrs. Tim Ingwersen and Dan Ingwersen, Chicago, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Leinbaugh, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Schlegel and Miss Helen Hansen, Davenport and Mr. and Mrs. Grover Ingwersen, Fulton, Ill.
