STONE CITY--Funeral service for Luther House, 74, who died on Wednesday, Dec. 24, after a long illness, was held Friday at 2 p.m. at Smykil's Funeral home.

Rev. Sammie Weaver, pastor of Fairview church, officiated and burial was in Wilcox cemetery in Fairview.

Mr. House was born March 10, 1867, in Woodbury county but has lived most of his life in the vicinity of Fairview and Stone City.

He was married on Nov. 16, 1906 in Anamosa to Emma Beardsley, who survives with one son, Stanley, also Stone City.
