OXFORD JUNCTION--Mrs. Charles Sheldon, 63, Oxford Junction, died Monday morning Feb. 26 at her home, following a lingering illness.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 23, at 1:30 p.m., at the Methodist church. Rev. Ramon Booth, of the Assembly of God church, had charge of the service. Burial was in the Mayflower cemetery, Oxford Junction. Hayden Funeral home had charge of arrangements.

She was born Bertha Becker, Jan. 1, 1889, daughter of Henry and Emma Powlishta Becker, Clinton county. She was married to Charles Sheldon on Dec. 23, 1919. Couple had made Oxford Junction their home for a number of years.

She was an active member of Order of Eastern Star and American Legion auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Charlene, Mrs. Gale Peters, Oxford Junction; one brother, Walter Becker, Lost Nation; four grandchildren, Connie and Kathy Sheldon and Terry and Gloria Peters, all of Oxford Junction.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Marvin "Bud".
