George G. Sampson, 58, died at his home in Wyoming, on Thursday, March 19, 1981.

He was born in Wyoming on April 22, 1922, the son of Lewis and Esther Griswold Sampson.

After graduating from Wyoming High School in 1943, George worked for many years at Fishwild and Son General Store. He was employed by the City of Wyoming as dog catcher for many years also. He was also self-employed mowing many lawns and shoveling many walks. He watched over the Wyoming Fair Grounds and did numerous other jobs in the community.

George had been a member of the Wyoming Presbyterian Church for 47 years.

There are no immediate survivors. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services were held Monday, March 23 at 10:30 a.m. at the Wyoming United Presbyterian Church with burial in the Wyoming cemetery. Pastor Dan Johnson officiated. Mrs. Tom Paulsen was organist, and vocalists were Mrs. Alex Inglis, Mrs. Howard Sorgenfrey and Mrs. Robert Orris.

Pallbearers were Dr. A. G. Rexstad, James Eichhorn, Lyman Thompson, Kenneth Brunscheen, George McCalmant, and Clayton Hamilton.
