MARTELLE--Funeral service was held Tuesday afternoon here for William C. May, veteran Milwaukee railroad employee, who died in his home Sunday following a long illness.

Born in 1874 in Somerset, Penn., he married Iva Kearns in 1899. Surviving are his wife and three daughters, Mrs. C. B. Claypool, Paso Robles, Calif., Agnes, Cedar Rapids, and Laura, Lincoln, Neb.; and four sons, Glen and Floyd, Martelle, Kenneth, Ely, and Robert, Rock Island, Ill.

Also surviving are five grandchildren, four brothers, and two sisters. He was a member of Martelle chapter of K.P. lodge and Linn Grove church. Rev. Claude Runner officiated at the service.
