OLIN--Funeral service was held Wednesday in the United Brethren church at Olin for John Albert Rummel, 84, who died suddenly Saturday afternoon while talking to a neighbor in the back yard of his home.

Mr. Rummel had survived a brother only three days. Brother, Frank, died on the steps of his home in Olin Wednesday.

John Albert Rummel was born Feb. 1, 1857, second of a family of eight children born to John and Margaret McConkey Rummel. He attended the Olin schools and was united in marriage to Jennie Sealls, Olin, in 1884.

With the exception of one year spent in Nebraska and eight in Missouri, Mr. Rummel lived his entire life in or near Olin.

Surviving are his wife and two sisters, Miss Margaret Rummel, Olin, Mrs. Fannie Starry, Ames, and several nieces and nephews.

Rev. Lloyd Dutro, Waterloo, and Rev. W. T. Boston, Olin, were in charge of the funeral service. Burial was in the Olin cemetery. Pallbearers were John Boling, Harry Levsen, Harry Miller, Jay McCormick, H. E. Carter and Ernest Peck.
