August 28, 1941 - The Anamosa Journal

Funeral service for Mrs. Amanda M. Fish, former Anamosa resident, was conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Moen chapel, Cedar Rapids. Burial was in Riverside cemetery, Anamosa.

Mrs. Fish died Monday at her Cedar Rapids home following a lingering illness.

Mrs. Fish was born at Langworthy Aug. 2, 1872, and lived for 13 years in Anamosa where she was active in the Methodist church.

Surviving are two daughters, Marion L. Fish and Mrs. William A. Mehaffey, Cedar Rapids; four grandsons, David, Charles, Donald and Thomas Mehaffey, all Cedar Rapids; five sisters, Mrs. J. A. Colton, Morley, Mrs. Leo Payne, Hopkinton, Miss Adelaide L. Darrow and Mrs. Grace Benedict, Monticello, and Mrs. R. R. Ellison, Anamosa; five brothers, Frank H. Darrow, Atlantic, W. I. Darrow, Anita, J. L. Darrow and James Darrow, Anamosa, and Edwin E. Darrow, Pittsville, Wis.
