WYOMING--Funeral service for Mrs. C. W. Mallicoat, 77, who died Sunday afternoon was held from the Harrington Funeral home in Wyoming at 2 p.m., Wednesday with Rev. R. C. Scott, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating. Mrs. Mallicoat, the former Calista Gearhart, was born in Pennsylvania but was reared in Marcellus, Mich. Prior to her marriage, she conducted a dressmaking shop in Durant.

On Dec. 16, 1884, at Muscatine she was married to Charles W. Mallicoat and soon they came to a farm east of Wyoming. For 56 years she and her husband made their home either in or near Wyoming. She was until the last few years an active worker in the Methodist church and its organizations. She was a member of the Royal Neighbor lodge, Priscilla club and other social groups.

She is survived by two children, Earl Mallicoat, Center Junction; Mrs. Golden Lesch, Boulder, Colo.; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Norton, Michigan, and six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A son, Carl Mallicoat, died in June 1941, and her husband died in March 1940.
