Olin, Ia., May 17--D. N. DeVoe died very suddenly at 11 o'clock last Tuesday night at his home in Olin. He has been a long time resident of this community, having come here from New York about forty years ago. He had been as well as usual, not being in good health at any time, and was in town as late as 10 o'clock. He with his wife and daughter left the Royal Neighbor lodge room at about that time, starting for home and on his arrival he suddenly become overcome and passed away immediately. Besides his wife he leaves one son, M. A. DeVoe of Marion, Ia., and two daughters, Mrs. Ed Seeger and Mrs. Ralph Gilmore, both of Olin. The funeral was held Friday afternoon from the Christian church with interment in the City cemetery.
