Funeral services were held on Wednesday, November 6, at Menke Funeral Home in Sun City, Arizona, for Leslie "Les" Behnke.

Mr. Behnke passed away at the Boswell Memorial Hospital at the age of 75.

Mr. Behnke was born in Wyoming, IA, and later moved to Berwyn, Illinois, where he was self-employed in the oil business. In Iowa he was a member of the Zeredetha Lodge #18 F & AM in Wheatland.

The Behnkes came to Sun City, Arizona in 1963. Mr. Behnke was a member of the United Church of Sun City, a Charter Member of the Sun City Lodge #72 F & AM, member of the Phoenix Scottish Rite Bodies, the El Zaribah Shrine Temple and the Sun City Country Club. In addition, he served the community as sound system supervisor for all recreation centers in Sun City. At most rec center movies, Leslie Behnke served as master of ceremonies. Mr. Behnke is survived by his wife Helen, and sister Henrietta McAdam, both of Sun City.

The family suggest memorials to the Sun City Masonic Lodge or Boswell Memorial Hospital.
