Funeral service was held last Friday afternoon at the Smykil funeral home for Mrs. Maude Meek, 62, who died after a long illness Wednesday, June 19. Rev. Homer C. Dalyrmple officiated and burial was in Riverside cemetery.

Mrs. Meek was born Dec. 22, 1878 at Quasqueton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Conley. She married George Meek in 1894 and the couple made their home near Anamosa at that time.

Surviving are her husband, George Meek, a son, Edward Meek and a daughter, Mrs. George Mathiessen, all of Anamosa, and a brother, Frank Conley, Monticello.
