26 June 1941 - The Anamosa Journal

ONSLOW--Reno Freemont Appleby, 38, died suddenly of a heart attack about 2 a.m. Monday.

Mr. Appleby was born and reared near Hopkinton. He and his family moved to Onslow four years ago and he had been employed on the Floyd Chatterton farm.

Surviving are his wife, Helen Kozart Appleby, and two small children.

ONSLOW--Funeral service for Reno Freemont Appleby, 38, was held in the Presbyterian church Wednesday afternoon with Rev. Frank Schroeder in charge. Mrs. Wilson Briggs and Mrs. Howard Willison sang "In the Garden" and "God Will Take Care of You," accompanied by Mrs. Leonard McKinstry. Pallbearers were Floyd Chatterton, Earnest Peters, Lee Hanson, Peter Schladetzky, Carroll Bickford and Isaac Edwards. Burial was made in the Hopkinton cemetery.
