Funeral service for Mrs. Maude Meek, 62, who died Wednesday after a long illness will be held Friday afternoon at Smykil funeral home. Time for the service had not been set Thursday morning.

Mrs. Meek, a lifelong resident of Anamosa, was born Dec. 22, 1878.

She is survived by her husband, George Meek; a son, Edward Meek, Anamosa; a daughter, Mrs. George Matthiessen, Anamosa; two grandsons, Rex Meek and Robert Schwartz, and a brother, Frank Conley, Monticello.
