Funeral service for Mrs. Anna Margareta Mohr, 81, who died Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Perry Sutherland, Mechanicsville, was held Tuesday afternoon from St. Paul's Lutheran church with the Rev. H. L. Buesing officiating. A short family service was held at Smykil's Funeral home before the church rites. Burial was in the Cemetery at Grand Mound, Iowa.

Mrs. Mohr's death followed several months of ill health after an illness with pneumonia.

She was born Aug. 16, 1859, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, daughter of Peter and Anna Margareta Navel. When four years old she came to America with her parents and the family made their home at Clinton.

She was married Oct. 17, 1877, to William B. Mohr and after living for 37 years in Clinton county, they moved to a farm five miles south of Anamosa. Her husband died in March 1920 and the family moved to Anamosa in October, 1921. For the past six years she had made her home with her youngest daughter, Mrs. Ed Leinen.

Mrs. Mohr is survived by seven sons, Charles, Peter and William, DeWitt, John, Anamosa, Hans, Wyoming and Fred and Herman, Detroit, Mich.; three daughters, Mrs. Charles Parmenter and Mrs. Leinen, Anamosa and Mrs. Sutherland, Mechanicsville; a sister, Mrs. Anna Rittmer, Monticello; 35 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
