OXFORD JUNCTION--Burial services were held in Oxford Junction Wednesday afternoon, April 25, for Walter Ray Coker, 56, Center Point, who died Monday morning of cerebral hemorrhage.

Mr. Coker was born in Oxford Mills, Feb. 4, 1885, and was married there to Blanche Coon in 1914. They lived in the Mills until 12 years ago when they moved to Center Point where he was employed as an electrician. Mr. Coker died while playing cards with friends. Just 10 days before, his brother, Fred, died at his home here of the same ailment.

Mr. Coker is survived by his wife and five children, Doris, Lois, Belva Jean, Merle and Robert, all Center Point; his mother, Mrs. Charlotte Coker, and two sisters, Mrs. Fred McClure and Mrs. George Yarolem, Oxford Mills, and four brothers, Harry, Marion, Roy, Ottumwa and Earl and Lacey, Oxford Mills.

He was a member of Vienna lodge No. 142, A.F. & A.M. and of the O.E.S. and Odd Fellows, all Center Point. Members of Zealous lodge of Oxford Junction had charge of the service at the grave. Burial was in the Mayflower cemetery.
