Funeral services for Elsie Houstman, 93, was held Tuesday at St. Paul United Methodist church in Olin, with Rev. Fred Richardson officiating. Interment was in the Olin cemetery. Pallbearers were Walter Rohwedder, Harlan Cozart, Edward Fall, Willard Hoyman, Howard Cruise and Eddie Soper.

Mrs. Houstman died Saturday at her home in Olin.

She was born August 1, 1886 at Hale, the daughter of James and Addie Wolfe Wooder. She attended schools in the Hale area.

On December 28, 1910, she was married to Henry Houstman at Olin. Following their marriage the couple farmed in the Newport area until their retirement in 1939 when they moved to Olin.

Surviving are three children, Lester, Anamosa; Leo and Juanita, Olin. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one brother, Ernest Wooder, Hale; and one sister, Inez Switzer, Springville.
