Funeral service for I. M. Reed, 77, Brown county, Neb., sheriff and former Anamosa resident, were held Tuesday, March 25, at Ainsworth, Neb.

Mrs. Frank Washburn, Anamosa, and Miss Elizabeth Reed, Chicago, sisters of Mr. Reed, returned to Anamosa last week after attending the funeral.

Mr. Reed, who died suddenly March 22 after a heart attack, moved to Anamosa when he was a boy with his parents and lived here until he was a young man. He was married to Francelia E. Fournier at Langworthy April 18, 1868. She preceded him in death in July, 1934. On Nov. 1, 1936, he was married in Ainsworth to Mrs. Inez Pearson, who survives him.

He also is survived by six children, 16 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one brother and the two sisters.
