The funeral of Jon R. Trimble, 45, rural Center Junction was held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 17, at Cedar Memorial Park with the Rev. Tom Anthony of the Marion Christian church officiating. He died Tuesday, May 15, 1979, following a long illness.

He was born December 26, 1933 near Marion and married Bobette Horning on September 20, 1955 at Marion.

Mr. Trimble graduated from Springville high school in 1951 and from Kirkwood in 1970. For the last nine years he was a feed and grain salesman for Linn-Jones Farm Service, Onslow.

He served with the Navy during the Korean conflict and was a member of the Marion Christian church, Wyoming Post 259 of the American Legion, the Onslow Men's club and the Farm Bureau.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jon Jr. Anamosa; Peter, Center Junction; a daughter, Mrs. Dan (Paula) Gravel, Center Junction; his father, Harvey, Central City; his grandmother, Effie Cherry, Vinton; three brothers, Richard, Urbana; Jerald, Santte, CA; and Daniel, Marion; a sister, Mrs. Don (Barbara) Bosenburg, Cedar Rapids; and two granddaughters.
