MONTICELLO--Mrs. Rueben Dress, 83, Monticello, died Friday, April 21, at her home following a lingering illness.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 24, at 9:30 a.m., from the Goettsch Funeral home to the Sacred Heart church, Monticello. Msgr. E. P. Lorenz officiated at the service. Interment was made at Sacred Heart cemetery.

Pallbearers included Galen Hein, Kenneth Ferring, Joe McAleer, Vernon Meier, Henry Harms and Claude Fothergill.

She was born April 9, 1878, daughter of John and Anna King Fitzsimmons, Richland township. She lived in the vicinity of Monticello her entire life.

Survivors include three sons, Bernell, Pleasant Hill, Calif.; Reuben, jr., Sacramento, Calif.; Edmund, Galesburg, Ill.; two daughters, Kathryn, Mrs. Burrell Fagan, Anamosa, and Ruth Dress, Monticello, who lives at home. She is survived by a twin sister, Mrs. George Whalen, Waukon

She was preceded in death by her husband April 4, 1961.
