April 6, 1961 - The Anamosa Eureka

OLIN--Mrs. Frank Fall, 71, Olin, died Friday, March 31, at the University hospital, Iowa City, following an illness of two weeks.

Prayer service was held Monday, April 3, at 1:30 p.m., at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harold Moreland, Olin, followed by services at 2 p.m., at the Campbell Funeral home, Olin. Rev. Lloyd Dutro, pastor of the Olin E.U.B. church, was in charge of the services. Interment was in the Antioch cemetery, near Anamosa.

Pallbearers included Roland Fall, Melvin Ramsey, Bliss Switzer, William Kell, Dee Vrooman and Arno Lawson.

Nellie Stivers was soloist and was accompanied by Linda Sharon at the piano. Flower committee from the Olin E.U.B church were in charge of the floral tributes.

She was born Mary Rosetta Dixon, June 29, 1889, daughter of John and Alice Dixon, Springville. She received her education in the school at Springville and later taught in the rural schools of Jones county. She was also a telephone operator in Olin for seven years.

In 1917 she was united in marriage to Frank Fall in Jones county. Couple had lived in Jones county throughout their married life, most of the time in the Olin community. She was a member of the Evangelical United Brethern church in Olin.

Survivors include a son, Hylas Fall, Plymouth, Wisc.; a daughter, Harriet, Mrs. Donald Moreland, Olin; three sisters, Alice Pierce, Indianapolis, Ind.; Fonta Cunningham, Cedar Rapids; and Fan Newton, Bradford; four grandchildren and a great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Frank; several brothers and sisters, and a son, John.
