Funeral rites were conducted Friday at 9 a.m. at St. Patrick's church in Anamosa for Mrs. Thomas McGuire, who died Wednesday at her home there. Rev. P. J. Behan was in charge of the service. Burial was made in Holy Cross cemetery.

Mrs. McGuire was born Bridget O'Donnell at Bell-Mullet, county Mayo, Ireland on May 4, 1854, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James O'Donnell. In 1865, she moved with her mother, brother and sister to Newcastle-on-Tyne, England. The family resided here until 1871, when the family emigrated to America and settled at Clinton.

In 1876, Mrs. McGuire was married to M. P. Conway, who entered the dry goods and clothing business in Anamosa in 1879.

Mr. Conway died in 1887, and in 1888 she married Thomas McGuire, also of county Mayo, Ireland. Mr. McGuire died in 1918. Two children preceded her in death. They were, Emmett Conway, who died in infancy, and Joseph McGuire, who died in 1923. Joseph was a world war veteran.

Survivors are four sons, James Conway, Des Moines; Neil Conway, Anamosa; John McGuire, Chicago, Ill.; Hubert McGuire, Anamosa; and one daughter, Miss Mary Conway, Anamosa.
