CENTER JUNCTION--Archie Alan Serbousek, 65, Center Junction, died Friday, March 31, at John McDonald hospital, Monticello, following a lingering illness.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 3, at 1:30 p.m., at the Center Junction Presbyterian church. Wallace Funeral home, Wyoming, was in charge of arrangements. Gerald Shibley, Center Junction, officiated at the service. Burial was in the North Madison Pioneer cemetery, Center Junction.

Pallbearers included John Gray, Merle Husmann, George Wessels, William Wessels, Boyd Christensen and Rolland Michaelis.

Mrs. Les Balster was organist. Mr. and Mrs. John Moehl were soloists.

He was born April 28, 1895, son of Frank L. Serbousek and Elisa McDonald Serbousek, Center Junction. He was married Dec. 29, 1913, to Della Mead, Center Junction, at Savanna, Ill. He had spent his entire life in and around Center Junction.

He was engaged in farming and carpenter work. He was a member of the school board, town council, a fire chief, and a member of the Presbyterian church and a trustee of same.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Kenneth, Monticello; Leonard, Center Junction; Norman, Holly Hill, Fla.; Norton, Marion; two daughters, Ruth Ann Phelan, Albuquerque, N. Mex.; Mary Jane Thompson, Marion; and 10 grandchildren.

Others include two brothers, Andrew, Center Junction; Donald, Anamosa; and one sister, Margaret Nelson, Monticello.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two parents, LaVern and Frank William.
