Funeral services were held for Frank Nespor, 90, on Wednesday, April 25, at 10:30 at Hayden's Funeral Home, Oxford Junction. Burial was at Mayflower Cemetery. The Rev. Keith Roepke officiated at the services.

Pallbearers were Vern Shedek, Jerry Mulvihill, James Clapp, Dennis Coon, Hans Petersen and Don Slouha.

Mr. Nespor died Sunday, April 22, at the Jackson County Public Hospital, Maquoketa. He had been a resident of the Crestridge Nursing Home for one and one-half years.

He was born on a farm near Hale in Jones County September 26, 1888, the son of Joseph and Lena Fiala Nespor.

He attended rural schools near Oxford Junction. He worked as a carpenter in Cedar Rapids for several years and then farmed near Oxford Junction until his retirement three and one-half years ago.

He served in World War I and was a member of the American Legion, Wapsi Post.

Survivors are one half-sister, Mrs. Emma Burda, Oxford Junction, and one niece and one nephew.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one half-brother and one half-sister.
