Funeral services for Anna D. Guhl, 77, were held Monday, March 26, at St. John Lutheran Church, Olin. Rev. Frank Philipp, Olin, and Rev. Marvin Mueller, Anamosa, officiated.

Burial was in the Olin Cemetery. Casket bearers were Victor Thomsen, John Zimmerman, Jack Scott, Jerry Kriegel, William Sharp and Joe Lasack.

Mrs. Guhl died March 23 at Anamosa Community Hospital.

Anna Guhl was born in Jones County, January 27, 1902, the daughter of Peter and Mary Knudt Schmalfeldt. She attended school in the Wyoming area, and on March 3, 1930, she married Louis Guhl at Maquoketa. The couple lived in the Olin area most of their lives.

She is survived by three sons, Kenneth, Anamosa, Lyle, Minneapolis, and John, Olin; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two sisters; and five brothers.
